Synopsis
“Samurai Girls” is set in an alternate version of Japan, referred to as Great Japan, in the early 21st century. In this timeline, the Tokugawa Shogunate has maintained its power and has kept Japan isolated from the rest of the world. The story primarily takes place at Buou Academic School, an elite academy located at the base of Mount Fuji where children from influential military families train to become samurai warriors.
The narrative centers on Muneakira Yagyu, a young man who finds himself at the heart of a power struggle within the academy. He becomes entangled in a conflict between the powerful student council, led by Sen Tokugawa, and a rebel faction including Yukimura Sanada and Matabei Goto. Muneakira’s life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Jubei Yagyu, a mysterious girl who literally falls from the sky naked and later becomes his first “Master Samurai” after a kiss. As Muneakira bonds with more “Master Samurai” girls (each representing famous historical Japanese figures), he gains unique abilities and becomes instrumental in uncovering and fighting against dark forces that threaten the school and potentially Great Japan itself.
